About Me
My name is Maximiliano (Max) Filippin, I am a psychiatrist and psychotherapist and, above all, a traveler of body and soul.
I think I've always enjoyed meeting people, without thinking about it, every time I traveled I was more interested in people than in souvenirs or photos.
Without realising it, this hobby became my passion and from there I decided to study medicine; a science that I thought it was linked to doctors treating human beings.
In the early years of medicine I wanted to be a surgeon, a fact that led me to spend more than three years in anatomy classes and body dissection. Once, being in charge of several students, I was struck by how a future doctor treated a certain body, it was there when I asked him why he had no qualms about how to manipulate what had once been a living being, his answer was simple:
-“in life nobody cared, less dead ..."
I asked him how he was encouraged to make such a statement, his response was as follows:
-“The bodies come from a place of mental illness, nobody cares ..."
The next day I realised two things:
-First:
that I would be a psychiatrist.
-Second:
that the doctor who answered me with such folly and irreverence was an ignorant.
My profession has also become my hobby. That is why I would like, if you decide to receive help, that we start this journey together. Like any trip, there will surely be tears, maybe more than a couple, there will also be moments of anger or sadness, but I can assure you that as we travel together fear, anxiety, sadness and those things that no one escapes… ...they will be under your control.
